Visit Limestone’s Octoberfest for a day of fun filled activities including the excitement of watching the 2024 Blokart East Coast Championships and the thrill of riding in one! Yes, it’s all happening in Limestone at the Loring Commerce Centre (Loring AFB) on October 12, 2024 from 11am-4pm. Limestone Chamber of Commerce has a great line up of free family-friendly events for the whole family to enjoy! There’s face painting, a bounce house, corn hole, rides on a blokart for adults and youth (bring your helmet & gloves to ensure a good fit), tours of the blokart pit area, pickleball courts (bring your paddles), and our post office with an USPS Pictorial Stamp Cancellation for this event! Of course we will have food vendors, a beer garden, and organizations fundraising including Borderline ATV Club with a 50/50, Chamber of Commerce selling postcards, and there might even be a chili cook-off…
If all that isn’t enough, the Loring Air Museum will be open from 10-2, the Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge is kicking off National Wildlife Refuge Week with a “Walk with Wildlife, a 5K hike organized like the German Volksmarches, the Lime Rock Golf Club is open with a lovely menu from 11am-8pm and a haunted house starting at 5pm at 198 Weinman Rd. as a fundraiser for the Arch Hangar Fund!
